The Belgian Hockey association decided to establish its national hockey centre at the fields of Braxgata Hockeyclub in Boom. All the hockey fields were supplied by Desso Sports Systems and installed by Desso’s Belgian partner Sportscape nv.

Erik Gysels, chairman and responsible for the infrastructure at Braxgata, explains: "We already have 3 artificial turf hockey fields but because of the decision of the KBHB we have decided to install a fourth field. It became a second water-based field. Top players naturally put high demands on the accommodation. As regards the field, you automatically end up with Desso Sports. Our other 3 fields (one water-based field, one semi-water-based and one sanded) are also from Desso and our players are extremely enthusiastic about it."
