Top events such as the Carling Cup final, FA Cup Final, the Champions League Final and several pop concerts already took place on the new Desso GrassMaster pitch. In one year more than 60 sports events and 8 weeks of concerts were organized. After this busy year the pitch was still in perfect condition. During the 2012 Games, Wembley hosts qualifying football matches, the semi-finals and finals. In less than two weeks time nine matches are played.
