Forsyth Barr Stadium, New Zealand

Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin (New-Zealand) plays host to several major national and international rugby fixtures and is one of a kind in all aspects. To tackle Dunedin’s extreme cold and wet climate, the most southerly professional sports stadium in the world was equipped with two essential features: a UV translucent roofing and a hybrid grass pitch.

Widnes Vikings, UK

Widnes Vikings makes a head start againts its opponents in the Super League. Their Stobart Stadium Halton is equipped with Desso iDNA artificial grass. With this Widnes is the first rugby league club in the UK to play and train on artificial turf. The club is so excited about its new turf, that they have named it their ‘i-pitch’ ('intelligent pitch').
